Hello Natick!
View in-progress construction photos of the new Natick High School!
I am running for re-election to the School Committee and I would be honored to have your support on Election Day, March 27, 2012. Since I joined the board in 2008 we have accomplished great things for the town and the students of Natick, including:
- The new Natick High School project, which will see one of the most advanced education facilities on the east coast open to students in 2012, on time and within budget...
- The introduction of a 1-to-1 laptop program that launched this school year in the 8th grade and which will be extended to grades 9 through 12 next year...
- Statewide recognition for great MCAS results...
- Improvements to the curriculum at all levels, including an enhanced elementary reading program that launched this school year...
- Several key initiatives to move toward a more fiscally sustainable district, including:
- The addition of solar panels on most of our schools which will lock-in low energy costs for the next 20 years while reducing our carbon footprint...
- Consolidation of the school and general government facility maintenance organizations, which we project will result in savings by reducing the need for contacted services...
...and so much more. Having attended the Natick Public Schools, I am so excited to be able to give back through public service. But I can’t do it alone—I need your support. Please take a moment to visit the Contact page where you can endorse my campaign, volunteer to post a lawn sign in your yard, or even let me know if you’re willing to host a coffee where I can speak with you and your neighbors about the challenges ahead and why I love to serve our town.
I ask for your vote on March 27, 2012 so that I can continue the work of moving our schools from good to great!
Thank you,
Dave Margil
